Plastic Surgury – From Leisure to Addiction

At one point in time, plastic surgery was only done and accepted by a certain social class, the upper-class. Due to the high cost of surgeries and the culture surrounding plastic surgery at the time, many people boycotted plastic surgery clinics. However, with the increase of social media and cable television, more people from the community were wanting to change their physical appearance, whether male or female, in order to look like certain celebrities or icons. This eventually turned into an obsession for plastic surgery, where people were now addicted to the procedures that used to mainly be for entertainment.

Tied to Money…How Work Lost It’s Fun

As we move from one addiction to another, only the physical thing changes, nothing else. The deep essence stays the same, yet we don’t notice. When it comes to the working life, we’ve become addicted to high positions and titles. Im not saying these are all fake, but because it os something we find comfort in, we work in this chaos. Of course, working is a duty in our lives, but it’s taking over. Suddenly all we want to do is reach goal, rather of focusing on the journey to get there.
